Actalent is seeking a detail-oriented Test Engineer in Torrance, CA to join our team. The role focuses on embedded software testing, hardware functionality analysis, and thorough troubleshooting.

You will set up devices on testing fixtures, run tests, generate reports, and guide technicians on PCB rework as needed. Must have 5+ years of relevant experience, be able to read schematics, operate oscilloscopes, and perform Python-based automation for basic tool configuration.

Qualifications

• Experience testing embedded systems and hardware.
• Ability to read schematics and analyze PCB boards.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes and signal analysis tools.
• Python scripting for test automation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct embedded software testing and troubleshooting.
• Set up devices to testing fixtures and connect them.
• Analyze and report issues found during testing.
• Use tools like encoders, decoders, signal generators, and monitors.
• Check DC power and report findings.
• Collaborate with team to resolve issues.
• Generate detailed test reports.
• Instruct technicians on PCB rework when needed.
• Configure and run tests via automation consoles.
