Job summary

AST SpaceMobile seeks an Automation Engineer for the PAM Team to design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded hardware and software systems. You will ensure reliability, performance, and quality across development and integration phases.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, and integration engineers, build HIL/SIL workflows, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines in a lab environment. Strong Python skills and hands-on hardware experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, automation, or embedded systems testing.
• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience with embedded systems and low-level debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for embedded systems.
• Support system-level testing across development, integration, and validation phases.
• Develop and execute HIL and SIL test workflows.
• Build and maintain automated regression test suites for system stability.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, and integration engineers.
• Debug and troubleshoot system-level issues across hardware/software interfaces.
• Document test procedures, results, and system interfaces clearly.
