Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking an in-person Telematics Software Engineer in Greene, New York to develop and support C++ software for embedded Linux-based telematics devices. You will design, implement, and maintain applications, contribute to architecture, and work with cross-functional teams across hardware, testing, and deployment.

You will also participate in the full software lifecycle, perform code reviews, and help improve software quality and reliability,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Experience with embedded Linux systems and C++ development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain C++ applications on embedded Linux systems.
• Participate in full software development lifecycle for telematics and IoT devices.
• Perform peer code reviews and contribute to coding standards.
• Provide technical estimates and assist sprint planning.
• Debug and resolve issues using field data and logs.
• Collaborate with hardware, test, deployment, and systems teams.
• Develop software using TCP/IP, MQTT, and HTTP/REST protocols.
