Job summary

SunTech Medical in Morrisville, NC, is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer – Embedded Systems to develop, test, and troubleshoot software for blood pressure monitoring devices. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE/CE or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional software development with embedded emphasis.
• Strong C programming and embedded systems experience.
• Experience debugging software and hardware/software integration.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing software developed by others.
• Experience with software development, testing, debugging, and release processes.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a small cross-functional team.
• Hands-on approach with willingness to code, troubleshoot, test, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and debug embedded software using C.
• Develop and maintain software that interfaces with hardware, sensors, and device components.
• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing software developed by others.
• Develop and support PC-based applications and software tools.
• Develop, execute, and document software testing and verification activities.
• Troubleshoot software and hardware/software integration issues and identify root causes.
• Participate in requirements, design, coding, testing, and software release activities.
• Collaborate with hardware, quality, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
• Maintain appropriate software documentation and follow established development processes.
• Take ownership of assigned software projects and deliverables.
• Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to cross-functional team.
