SunTech Medical is seeking a hands-on Software Engineer - Embedded Systems to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software for medical device products. You will work closely with hardware and software engineers across the full development lifecycle, taking ownership of projects and delivering robust embedded solutions.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of embedded software experience, strong C skills, and the ability to work independently within a small cross-functional team.

About SunTech Medical

SunTech Medical develops innovative blood pressure monitoring technologies used by healthcare professionals around the world. We are looking for a hands-on Software Engineer - Embedded Systems to join our engineering team and help develop, maintain, test, and troubleshoot software that supports our medical device products.

This is an opportunity to work closely with hardware and software engineers and other cross-functional teams while gaining broad knowledge of our products and technology. The ideal candidate enjoys solving challenging problems, working with existing code, and taking ownership of projects from development through release.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, and debug embedded software using C.
  • Develop software that interfaces with microcontrollers, sensors, electronic hardware, and other device components.
  • Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing software developed by other engineers.
  • Develop and support PC-based applications and software tools.
  • Design, execute, and document software testing and verification activities.
  • Troubleshoot software and hardware/software integration issues and identify root causes.
  • Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, documentation, and release.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, quality, manufacturing, and other engineering teams.
  • Maintain software documentation and follow established development and quality processes.
  • Take ownership of assigned software projects and deliverables.
  • Share technical knowledge and provide support to other members of the cross-functional team.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including significant embedded software experience.
  • Strong C programming skills and experience developing software for embedded systems and microcontrollers.
  • Experience debugging software and hardware/software integration issues.
  • Experience working with and enhancing existing codebases.
  • Experience with software development, testing, debugging, and release processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a small, cross-functional team.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to code, troubleshoot, test, and solve problems directly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Delphi/Object Pascal.
  • Experience in the medical device or other regulated industry.
  • Experience with software verification and validation.
  • Experience working with sensors, measurement systems, or electronic hardware.
  • Familiarity with source control, software configuration management, and formal software development processes.
