Battelle Memorial Institute in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer for Embedded Systems. You will design, develop, and test software for embedded and Linux-based systems, writing C and Python and integrating with hardware components.

The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, deploying software across desktop to embedded platforms, and supporting system-level validation while adhering to a mature development process.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in software-related engineering field.
0–2 years of software development experience; 1–2 years preferred.
Strong programming in C and Python.
Basic networking skills (TCP/IP).
Familiarity with Linux and development tools.
Experience with embedded systems (STM32 or Raspberry Pi Pico).
Able to work independently and in a team.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Willing to travel 2–3 weeks/year.
Sole U.S. citizen able to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
