Coherent Aerospace & Defense Inc is looking for a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern to join their engineering team for the summer. This role offers an aspiring electrical/software engineer a chance to help develop high-power fiber lasers and amplify systems in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities include contributing to hardware and software development, prototyping, testing electronics, and creating crucial documentation. Ideal candidates should be pursuing a relevant degree and have hands-on experience with embedded electronics.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with prototyping, debugging, and testing embedded electronics.
• Basic knowledge of embedded software/firmware development process.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to hardware and software development of embedded systems.
• Support prototyping and bring-up of printed circuit boards and hardware assemblies.
• Participate in testing and validation of new electronics and software.
• Create documentation including test plans and design notes.
• Collaborate to resolve engineering design issues.

Connaissances

Hands-on experience with prototyping

Knowledge of embedded software/firmware development

Basic debugging and testing abilities

Experience with C programming
