Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to join our on-site engineering team at a customer facility in Cary, NC. You will work with an experienced staff on hardware and software for off-road and vehicle electrification projects, using C, C++, and Simulink in a Model-Based design environment.

Responsibilities include designing robust electronic systems, capturing requirements from customers, performing verification, and ensuring integration with mechanical components.

Qualifications

• BS in a related engineering field or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design new and enhance existing electronic systems for on/off road vehicles.
• Perform requirements capture, analysis, design, programming, debugging, and verification.
• Capture customer requirements directly and translate into design specs.
• Create and review HW/SW testing architectures for challenging problems.
• Decompose requirements into high-level and mid-range architectures and document designs.
• Perform unit/integration/systems testing using HW/SW tools.
• Review test results and propose additional test cases.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure integrated software/hardware compatibility.
