Job summary

Insight Global in Baltimore, MD is hiring Embedded Systems Security Engineer roles, all on-site. Mid to senior level candidates will lead development of sensor payloads and secure mission solutions within the Systems Security Engineering Team.

Candidates should have DoD-relevant expertise across EO/IR, embedded software, cryptography, hardware design, RF, radar and undersea sensors, with full lifecycle development experience including requirements, design, testing, verification and validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience or higher; advanced degrees acceptable with fewer years.
• Ability to obtain/maintain SAP access prior to start.
• 2 years of DoD platform and sensor experience including EO/IR, embedded software, cryptography, or hardware design.
• Experience in requirements development, system integration & test, and V&V.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide hands-on experience in development of sensor payloads and mission security solutions.
• Contribute to cybersecurity requirements formulation, detailed design, unit testing, system testing and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software security teams to deliver complete solutions.

Job description

Insight Global is hiring 10+ Mid level and Senior level Embedded Systems Security Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. This position requires 100% onsite work.

The selected candidates will work as an integral part of our Systems Security Engineering Team, where you will be responsible for leading and providing hands-on experience in development of sensor payloads and complete mission security solutions assisting our hardware and software security solutions.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience engineering and designing EO/IR, Embedded Software or Cryptography, Satellite, Architecture development, Hardware design, RF, Radar and Undersea Sensors, etc. Selected candidates should have full life cycle development experience encompassing architecture design, trade studies, Cybersecurity requirements formulation, detailed design, unit testing, system testing, and validation and verification practices.

Minimum Job Requirements include:

• Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience, a Master degree with 3 years of experience or a PhD with 1 year of experience in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics or related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Special Access Program (SAP) access prior to start.
• 2 years of experience with system engineering with DoD based Platforms, Sensors and/or Sub-systems. Including but not limited to: EO/IR, Embedded Software or Cryptography, Satellite, Architecture development, Hardware design, RF, Radar and Undersea Sensors, etc.
• 2 Year of experience with requirements development, derivation, system integration & test and validation and verification
• 2 years of experience with Anti-tamper, Reverse Engineering and/or Risk Management Framework and Cyber Resiliency

Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for these roles and pay will vary based on a number of factors including depth on knowledge, years of experience, clearance level among other factors. However, we anticipate paying 135K - 225K for these openings as well as providing health, vision, dental, and 401k benefits.
