Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer – Requirements & Verification to join the embedded Systems Engineering Team. You will perform requirements writing, system integration, verification and validation, and analyses across concept, design, test, and field deployment.

Responsibilities include translating customer needs into hardware and software specifications, planning, and coordinating trade studies while factoring cost and schedule.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, particularly requirements, verification, and/or integration.
  • Effective communication, ability to lead reviews, and negotiate requirements.

  • Write and translate customer requirements into total system solutions for hardware/software.
  • Perform requirements analysis, verification/validation, and interface definition studies.

The Lockheed Martin FBM Program is seeking an experienced and skilled Embedded Systems Engineer - Requirements & Verification to join our embedded Systems Engineering Team.

Perform requirements writing, technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for package level systems, including batteries and power systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Basic Qualifications
  • Some Engineering or technical experience required.
  • Active Secret Clearance required prior to start
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Ability to work in a closed area.
Desired Skills
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, specifically in the areas of requirements, verification, and/or Systems Integration
  • Effective communication skills, including ability to explain complex concepts, lead reviews, and negotiate requirements
  • Experience integrating across functional organizations.
  • MS Office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and/or Project
  • Experience with DOORS, DOORS Next, or other requirement management tool
  • Experience with, or on, the FBM program, working with the Navy, or Submarine exposure is highly desired
  • Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
  • Self-starter, able to complete work with general direction
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $79300.00 - $147300.00

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
