Job summary

Cisco is seeking a Software Engineer Embedded Systems II to own the design, development and optimization of high-performance embedded software, firmware, and low-level platform features. You will collaborate across engineering teams to build robust drivers and kernel components, while enhancing test automation and diagnostics.

The role emphasizes system-level diagnostics, memory and CPU optimization, and production triage within modern CI/CD pipelines using Python.

Qualifications

• Must have degree in CS/CE or related field and relevant work experience.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ with embedded Linux/RTOS/POSIX.
• Familiarity with Linux tools, GDB/Valgrind, and Git workflow.
