Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded hardware and firmware development experience.
• Strong PCB design knowledge and ability to read schematics.
• Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, or embedded SoCs.
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and MCU programming.
• Experience with PCB design tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or KiCad.
• Knowledge of MCU peripherals and communication protocols (GPIO, ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
• Experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and firmware-hardware integration.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debugging tools.
• Understanding of PCB layout practices, power management, grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC fundamentals.
• Ability to read datasheets and hardware reference designs.

Embedded systems engineer - Dallas/Austin, TX - Only W2 - (JK)

Embedded systems engineer Location: Dallas/Austin, TX (Initial onsite and can converted to Hybrid then after) Duration: Long Term contract role

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience in embedded hardware and firmware development.
• Strong knowledge of PCB design, circuit schematics, electronic components, and hardware integration.
• Practical experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, or embedded SoCs.
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and microcontroller programming.
• Experience with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or KiCad.
• Knowledge of MCU peripherals and communication protocols such as GPIO, ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, I²C, or CAN.
• Experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and firmware-hardware integration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hardware validation, DFM/DFT, manufacturing support, and production testing.
• Familiarity with wireless communication technologies, sensors, and IoT hardware.
• Experience developing products from initial design through prototype validation and production deployment.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
