Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer for a long-term contract in the Dallas/Austin, TX area. Initial onsite with potential to hybrid working arrangements as the project progresses.

The role focuses on hardware-software integration, firmware development in Embedded C/C++, and thorough verification of board bring-up. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with embedded hardware, PCB design, and MCU peripherals, plus familiarity with debugging tools and

Qualifications

Hands-on embedded hardware and firmware development experience.
Strong PCB design knowledge and ability to read schematics.
Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, or embedded SoCs.
Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and MCU programming.
Experience with PCB design tools: Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, OrCAD, or KiCad.
Knowledge of MCU peripherals and communication protocols (GPIO, ADC, PWM, UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
Experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, and firmware-hardware integration.
Familiarity with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and JTAG/SWD debugging tools.
Understanding of PCB layout practices, power management, grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC fundamentals.
Ability to read datasheets and hardware reference designs.
