Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a software engineer to develop embedded software for a wide range of devices and participate in product development from inception to production in a fast-paced R&D setting.

You will assess product requirements, design interfaces and software architecture, and collaborate on backend development and validation while supporting legacy products with bug fixes and feature improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 2 years of relevant experience - flexible
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Familiarity with C++ and C#.
• Proficiency with Git repositories.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong work ethic and a desire for excellence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Good technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Writing software for embedded microcontrollers.
• Reviewing/updating software written by other developers for various platforms.
• Testing and validation of software/systems.
• Interpreting electrical schematic drawings.
• Review and selection of electrical components.
• Writing technical documentation/instructions.
• Collaborating on design requirements/specifications.
• Meeting compliance and testing requirements.
• Collaborating with 3rd party developers and vendors.
• Supporting manufacturing process controls as needed.
