Stelvio Inc. is seeking a hands-on Embedded Systems Engineer in Salt Lake City, UT to own embedded Linux software for camera and sensor systems. You will develop firmware, optimize triggering and synchronization, and build signal pipelines for depth sensing on production-grade hardware.

The role emphasizes hardware/software integration and real-time processing in a small, fast-growing team. Requirements include 3+ years in embedded systems, C/C++ and/or Python, Embedded Linux, and experience

Competenze

• 3+ years of embedded systems engineering experience.
• Strong programming in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, services, logging, and performance.
• Hands-on hardware and sensor integration using UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, RS-485 or Modbus.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters and hardware debugging.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals including testing, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and proactive problem solving.

We're recruiting for an innovative AI technology company developing advanced vehicle inspection systems using cameras, sensors, and real-time data processing.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, fast-growing engineering team, working on embedded software, firmware, and hardware integration. You'll play a key role in developing cutting-edge technology, taking solutions from prototype through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain embedded Linux software and firmware for camera and sensor systems.
• Build and optimise camera triggering, synchronisation, monitoring, and error recovery.
• Develop sensor control software, including calibration, measurement, and fault handling.
• Create signal processing pipelines for depth measurement and sensor data.
• Integrate hardware and software, troubleshooting issues from prototype through production.
• Support testing, deployment, and continuous improvement of production systems.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years' experience in embedded systems engineering.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Python.
• Experience with Embedded Linux, including system services, logging, and performance optimisation.
• Hands-on hardware and sensor integration using UART, I2C, SPI, GPIO, CAN, RS-485, or Modbus.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters, and hardware debugging.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including testing, debugging, and version control.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
