Job summary

DeepReach AI in San Francisco designs wearable multi-sensor capture devices and embedded systems for robot learning. You will design hardware, integrate cameras and IMUs, and drive sensor synchronization from prototype to mass production.

We seek hands-on engineers with hardware development experience, who can own both hardware and firmware challenges, and collaborate with algorithms teams to ensure robust data capture in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years hardware development experience including at least one product from prototype to mass production.
  • Experience with SoC board design, high-speed interfaces (MIPI CSI, USB), and signal and power integrity.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded development; familiarity with embedded Linux or an RTOS.
  • Hands-on experience with sensor data acquisition and synchronization.

Responsibilities

  • Design hardware for wearable multi-sensor capture devices: schematics, PCB design and review, and board bring-up.
  • Integrate cameras, IMUs, and other sensors, and own hardware-level multi-sensor time synchronization.
  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware and low-level drivers for reliable long-duration capture.
  • Own system-level challenges such as power, thermals, and mechanical reliability, taking devices from prototype to mass production.

Job description

We are an early-stage physical AI company building the data infrastructure for robot learning. We work closely with frontier AI labs, robotics companies, and leading university research groups.

What You'll Do
  • Design hardware for wearable multi-sensor capture devices: schematics, PCB design and review, and board bring-up.
  • Define production test and quality processes, and work with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Partner with the algorithms team on sensor selection, calibration, and field testing.
What We're Looking For
  • BS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hardware development experience, including at least one product taken from prototype to mass production.
  • Experience with SoC board design, high-speed interfaces (MIPI CSI, USB, etc.), and signal and power integrity.
  • Proficiency in C / C++ for embedded development; familiarity with embedded Linux or an RTOS.
  • Hands-on experience with sensor data acquisition and synchronization.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with wearables, AR / VR, or consumer electronics.
  • Camera modules, ISP tuning, or optical systems.
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM) and reliability testing.
Why Join Us
  • Work alongside frontier AI labs and top university research groups on the field's hardest problems.
  • Opportunities to contribute to technical publications and open-source projects.
  • Own your work end to end, from prototype to mass production.
  • Early team, high ownership, competitive salary and equity.
