Job summary

Mantu is seeking Embedded SQA Engineers to join two onsite teams in Westford, MA, focusing on Gateway/Panel and Windows Workstation applications. The role combines manual testing, automation, and test framework development to validate new builds and ensure product quality.

You will work with software and hardware teams in a hardware lab environment, validating embedded controllers, cloud, and edge applications with an emphasis on non-UI automation and UI testing where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Software Eng/EE or related field with mid-level QA/test automation experience.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and executing automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with embedded systems, hardware/software integration, Windows desktop applications, or network communications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Agile methodologies, regression testing, and defect tracking.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication in a hardware lab environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on new software builds, embedded controllers, applications, and product features throughout the complete test cycle.
• Develop and maintain UI, regression, integration, and non-UI automated tests.
• Investigate failed tests and defects by reviewing logs, reproducing issues, troubleshooting across software, hardware, and network layers.
• Collaborate with Software Developers, Hardware Engineers, and Systems teams to analyze requirements and communicate findings.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Agile development practices, test planning, and QA process improvement.

Work Model: Fully Onsite – 5 days per week

Position: Full-Time

We are looking for Embedded SQA Engineers to join two onsite engineering teams supporting the development and validation of Gateway, Cloud, Next Generation Panel applications, embedded system controllers, and Windows Workstation applications.

The role combines manual testing, test automation, test framework development, test execution, and defect investigation. You will work closely with software developers, hardware engineers, and system teams to validate new builds, investigate failures, reproduce defects, and ensure product quality throughout the development cycle.

For the Gateway/Panel team, the focus is on embedded systems, non-UI automation, Gateway and Cloud applications, and network communications. For the Windows Workstation team, the focus is on full application testing, UI automation, and regression testing.

Main Responsibilities

• Perform manual and automated testing on new software builds, embedded controllers, applications, and product features throughout the complete test cycle.
• Develop and maintain UI, regression, integration, and non-UI automated tests, including repetitive test scenarios and end-to-end validation.
• Investigate failed tests and defects by reviewing logs, reproducing issues, troubleshooting across software, hardware, and network layers, and verifying fixes.
• Collaborate closely with Software Developers, Hardware Engineers, and Systems teams to analyze requirements, communicate technical findings, and improve product quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, Agile development practices, test planning, documentation, and continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with mid-level experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
• Experience designing, maintaining, and executing automated testing frameworks, combined with strong knowledge of manual testing and software quality practices.
• Experience with embedded systems, hardware/software integration, Windows desktop applications, or network communications; TCP/IP experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Agile methodologies, regression testing, and defect tracking/investigation; experience with TestComplete or other UI automation tools is an asset.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hardware lab/system test environment and communicate technical findings in English.

Additional Assets: Experience in fire alarm, safety-critical, industrial, automotive, aerospace, medical device, IoT, or security systems is considered a strong advantage.

Important: This position is fully onsite in Westford, MA, 5 days per week. Local candidates are preferred.
