Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions in Seattle, WA is seeking a Test Engineer for drone systems. The role focuses on assessing software for embedded platforms using C++ and Python, RTOS (Yocto), and Linux kernel interfaces, with emphasis on sensor integration and real-time performance.

You will own testing of new features, establish V&V thresholds, develop and execute test plans, document results, and work independently with minimal supervision to deliver robust, verifiable software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS, EE, Robotics, or related field.
• At least 5+ years in testing, systems, or embedded software roles.
• Experience with pre-launch testing, test plan development, and execution in C++/Python on Linux.
• Embedded hardware interaction and RTOS experience, plus strong technical writing and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute tests for drone sensing systems.
• Define verification and validation thresholds and a test plan; report results.
• Document procedures and results; work independently with minimal supervision.
