Job summary
Toyota Material Handling North America is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Supervisor for energy systems. You will lead a small team, design embedded firmware for BMS and energy management, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to bring concepts to production.
The role requires strong C/C++ skills, RTOS experience, and a background in battery management or energy storage systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for resource-constrained embedded systems using bare-metal and RTOS.
- Experience in battery management, energy storage, power electronics, motor control, or similar embedded applications.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of embedded software engineers up to seven.
- Design and implement embedded firmware in C/C++ for BMS and energy systems using RTOS and bare-metal.
- Build reusable software components for multiple embedded platforms.
- Review software architecture, code, and designs; guide development approaches.
