Job summary

AGCO, a global leader in agricultural machinery, seeks an Embedded Software Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will join AGCO's global embedded platform development team to build common software frameworks and embedded hardware used across products.

Work with experienced engineers on meaningful projects and gain hands-on exposure to embedded systems, software development, testing, and automation in a professional environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Exposure to programming through coursework, projects, or activities.
• Experience using C, C++, or similar programming languages.
• Basic understanding of software development principles and data structures.
• Interest in embedded systems, electronics, and how software interacts with hardware.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, integration, and testing of embedded software components under guidance.
• Support software/hardware validation activities including bench testing and troubleshooting.
• Write/modify C/C++ code for embedded applications.
• Develop and execute unit tests, test scripts, and automation tools to improve quality.
• Document software designs, test results, and technical findings.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile activities.
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers across global teams.
• Complete an internship project and present results at end of internship.
