Job summary

AGCO Corporation in Hesston, KS is seeking an Embedded Software Engineering Intern to join our global platform development team. You will gain hands-on experience in embedded software, testing, and automation while contributing to meaningful projects across AGCO products.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers, write C/C++ code for embedded applications, and participate in code reviews and sprint activities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Exposure to programming through coursework, academic projects, personal projects, or extracurricular activities
• Experience using C, C++, or similar programming languages
• Basic understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, or data structures
• Interest in embedded systems, electronics, and how software interacts with hardware
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
• Ability to work independently with guidance and collaborate effectively within a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, integration, and testing of embedded software components under the guidance of experienced engineers
• Support software and hardware validation activities, including bench testing and troubleshooting
• Write and modify C/C++ code for embedded applications
• Develop and execute unit tests, test scripts, and automation tools to improve software quality
• Use approved AI-assisted development tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and technical learning while reviewing and validating all generated output
• Document software designs, test results, and technical findings
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, team meetings, and other Agile development activities
• Collaborate with software and hardware engineers across global teams
• Complete an assigned internship project and present your results and learnings at the conclusion of the internship
