Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years embedded software engineering (C/C++) with RTOS/embedded Linux.
• 3-5 years directly leading high-performing technical teams.
• Deep knowledge of IEC 62304 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820 design controls.
• Safety-critical embedded systems experience including FMEA.
• Delivery track record from napkin sketch to V&V and manufacturing transfer.
• Fluency with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and agile release practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high‑caliber firmware/software team, mentoring and guiding execution.
• Direct architecture across board bring-up, real‑time control, platform development, cybersecurity, OS management, and safety‑critical software.
• Bridge strategy with agile delivery; own roadmaps and manage interdependencies with hardware, clinical, and human factors teams.
• Champion modern engineering practices: CI/CD, code reviews, bug management, and unit testing/TDD.
• Lead safety and risk management with hazard analysis and FMEA.
• Own end‑to‑end software release lifecycle from unit tests to transfer to manufacturing.
• Advocate the team’s wins and roadmaps to executives, cross‑functional partners, and regulatory bodies.
