Job summary

Emerson in Eden Prairie, Minnesota seeks a seasoned Software Engineering Manager to lead the Rosemount Flow software strategy and development for next-generation meters. You will direct global teams shaping architecture, sensor processing, and security considerations across embedded software products.

You will drive multi-year roadmaps, collaborate with customers and vendors, and champion modern engineering practices, including CI/CD and SDL, while aligning with safety and cybersecurity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school; ABET-accredited degree preferred.
• 10 years of related software engineering experience with a track record of leading complex product developments.
• 2 years of leadership experience in an industrial or technology organization.
• Familiarity with MISRA, version control, defect tracking, and modern requirements management tooling (Jama, DOORS, Azure DevOps).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Up to 10% travel (domestic and international).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and organizational leadership to develop complex embedded software products and systems.
• Direct global teams to define software architecture and coding techniques for next-generation Rosemount platforms.
• Prepare multi-year plans, define goals, cost/schedule requirements, and initiate innovative projects.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, and cross-functional groups on technical matters.
• Prepare technical proposals and represent Emerson to standards bodies.
• Ensure software documentation packages are accurate and timely; approve or write requirements and specs.
• Coach and develop the Rosemount Flow software team; promote SDL and secure practices.
