Job summary

GridBridge, a subsidiary of ERMCO, seeks an Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and support software for STM32 and i.MX8 platforms, spanning bare-metal firmware and embedded Linux with Yocto.

This hands-on, hardware‑adjacent role requires 2–5 years of embedded software experience, teamwork with power electronics and controls, and offers relocation assistance for onsite Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of embedded software experience (utility/industrial background a plus).
• Proficiency in C/C++ and STM32 microcontroller development.
• Experience with embedded Linux and Yocto on i.MX8.
• Familiar with CAN communication and hardware debugging.
• Git and collaborative development experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software across STM32 and i.MX8.
• Develop bare-metal firmware on STM32 and embedded Linux software using Yocto.
• Implement user-space applications and services in C/C++ and CAN/MQTT communications.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, and system validation.
• Contribute to documentation and interface definitions.
