Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for Starlink in Redmond. You will develop real-time software to optimize beam formation across a laser mesh satellite network and help ensure low latency, high bandwidth connectivity for users.

You will participate in architecture reviews, prototype experiments, and build tools for deployment, data analysis, and testing across virtual and real hardware environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of software development experience.
• Experience with assembly, C, or C++.
• Proven ability to work on real-time, resource-constrained systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software for beam formation in a laser mesh network.
• Participate in and lead architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Develop prototypes and experiments to validate core design concepts.
• Create tools for development, deployment, data analysis, visualization, and testing across multiple environments.
