Job summary

Radiant Power Corp. seeks Embedded Software Engineers to develop real-time software for aviation power distribution and cabin control products in Sarasota, FL.

The position is full-time, Monday–Thursday, on-site, with ITAR requirements and relocation support for suitable candidates. Responsibilities include designing embedded software in C/C++ and Assembly, writing design and verification documents, and performing reviews and testing to ensure DO-178B Level C compliance.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience designing and developing embedded real-time software.
• Proficiency with C, C++, and assembly in real-time environments.
• Experience with RTOS and multi-threaded applications.
• Familiarity with DO-178B software processes (Level C or higher).
• Knowledge of software life cycle needs and configuration management.
• Aviation software standards and static analysis tools (PC-Lint).
• Databus communications: ARINC 429, RS-232/422/485, CAN.
• Wireless: IEEE 802.15.4.
• Hardware/software integration and test methods.

Job description

We are looking for Embedded Software Engineers, with experience in the Aerospace/Aviation industry.

This position is located in Sarasota, FL and is full-time, Monday - Thursday. This is not a work from home or hybrid position.

Relocation allowance may be offered for the right candidate.

This role is responsible for the design, development and implementation of embedded, real time applications for our aviation power distribution and cabin control products.

GENERAL DUTIES:

• Design and implement embedded software using C, C++, and Assembly Language
• Write technical documents including Software Requirements, Software Design Descriptions and Software Verification
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and software code
• Perform software verification and validation activities
• Prepare and present technical design reviews both internally and externally
• Other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• Software design and development
• Programming real-time embedded software applications
• C, 8 bit and 16 bit microprocessor assembly languages
• Proficiency with development tools, in-circuit emulators, logic analyzers and test tools
• Experience developing DO-178B software applications, Level C or higher
• Working knowledge of complete software life cycle needs
