Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Software Engineer – Embedded/Test Equipment (Level 3) to lead real time computer and hardware-in-the-loop test development for glide phase interceptor programs. The role is 100% onsite in Chandler with a 9/80 schedule and Friday off every other week.

You will work on embedded C/C++ development, GPU-based scene generation, and sensor injection for mission‑critical flight software validation, in a collaborative, multi‑discipline team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience OR Master's with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year; additional 4+ years may substitute for degree.
• Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application.
• Software development in C, C++, C# and/or Java in Linux/Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Supports test equipment hardware and software requirements planning, architecture development, design and integration/startup of real time computer and full hardware in loop test laboratories.
• Develops test equipment hardware and software architectures to support real time distorted scene injection into flight hardware as part of test laboratory development.
• Develops GPU software to predict and mimic flight condition scenarios in real time test environment.
• Ensures software standards are met.
• Collaborates in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
