Job summary

HEICO Aerospace in Highland Heights, Ohio seeks a Software Engineer to participate in the full hardware, firmware and software development life cycle. You will design software/firmware for real-time system control, work with schematics and PCB layouts, and integrate test equipment with existing firmware and software.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, and experience with embedded C/C++, C#, VB in .NET; knowledge of protocols and GUI design is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in software development with embedded C and C++, Assembler, C# and VB in .NET environment is highly desired.
• Experience with code architecture, algorithms and GUI design is highly desired.
• Experience with various communication protocols and embedded hardware is highly desired.
• Ability to work independently and in teams, self-motivated, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Review product documentation and participate in product design; formulate test equipment requirements.
• Develop test equipment concepts and implement them.
• Design software/firmware for real-time control across hardware lifecycle.
• Understand schematics, PCB layouts and hardware components.
• Integrate test equipment with firmware and software developed by the team.
• Troubleshoot problems and provide analytical basis for resolutions.
• Provide test equipment and product support to production.
• Develop and present technical briefings to management.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines.
