General Galactic Technologies Corporation is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. You will own critical flight software across real-time systems, collaborating with hardware and avionics engineers to deliver mission-ready code.

You’ll work on core algorithms, command/telemetry, health/status, fault management, and simulation with a focus on safety and performance. Prior aerospace software experience is highly valued.

Competenze

• BS in CS/CE/AE/EE or similar degree is required.
• 2+ years of software development experience, preferably in aerospace.
• Experience with C/C++, Git, Python, Grafana, Rust, or similar.
• Experience with RTOS environments and satellite communications protocols.
• Understanding of microcontroller architectures and interfaces.
• Experience with safety standards and formal certification processes.

Mansioni

• Architect and deliver core flight software for real-time, safety-critical systems.
• Own embedded software for microcontrollers and related hardware.
• Develop, test, and integrate flight software for algorithms, command/telemetry, mission management, health/status, and fault management.
• Write clean, efficient real-time code; ensure reliability and safety.
• Implement communication protocols (UDP, Ethernet, etc.).
• Collaborate with hardware/avionics teams across full product lifecycle.
• Document code, ConOps, and related design artifacts.
• Collaborate with GNC engineers to integrate complex vehicle algorithms.
• Lead testing development including hardware-in-the-loop and automated tests.
