Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join its engineering team in Iowa. You will design, develop, deploy, and support embedded software for electronic vehicle products, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to define requirements and ensure software and electrical component quality.

The role requires hands-on MATLAB/Simulink experience (3+ years), strong CAN J1939 knowledge, and solid software engineering practices.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on MATLAB/Simulink experience.
Strong knowledge of vehicle communication protocols, specifically CAN J1939.
Solid understanding of software engineering processes, programming techniques, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Software Development: Design, develop, deploy, and support software for electronic vehicle products and on-highway systems.
Model-Based Design: Utilize MATLAB/Simulink and MBDS to engineer embedded software.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects promptly, tracking bugs through to closure.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the high quality and performance of developed software and integrated electrical components.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Interface with cross-functional stakeholders and team members to gather, refine, and fulfill software requirements.
