Job summary

SOMERSET STAFFING is seeking a Mid Software Engineer in Oak Brook, IL to design, develop, and maintain embedded software. You will write clean C++14/17 code, test rigorously, and collaborate with PMs, designers, and QA to ensure the product meets business needs.

Experience Required: Mid Software Engineer

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.

3-5 years of experience developing software for embedded systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have C++ (14 / 17) experience with knowledge of threading

Proficiency with the Linux Operating System

Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and debugging environments.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts both verbally and in writing.

Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
