Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. (CMRU) seeks a Software Engineer to join our High Performance Computing team, developing image-processing software for large medical devices from requirements through production.

This role suits a recent graduate with strong mathematical and systems foundations applying linear algebra, numerical methods, and OS concepts to real-time image reconstruction on production hardware.

Qualifications

• Entry-level: 0-2 years of professional experience.
• Strong academic background in applied mathematics; linear algebra and numerical methods coursework or project work.

Responsibilities

• Analyze software requirements and consult with the author.
• Formulate a software design using industry best practices and document it.
• Implement the software design in C/C++.
• Design and execute unit test plans to verify coded software.
• Contribute to image reconstruction and mathematical algorithm implementation and optimization.
• Coordinate communication with vendors regarding project materials.
• Contribute to software requirements and specifications.
• Contribute to the corporate IP portfolio.
