Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking aspiring Software Engineers for an internship position in Mission Systems, San Diego, CA. The role focuses on embedded software, agile development, and DevOps within NIC.

The candidate will design, develop, test, and debug software across real-time embedded systems and collaborates with engineers to meet program goals. The internship targets full-time students pursuing Computer Science/Engineering degrees, able to obtain clearance, and available for a 10-week Summer

Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree program and available for Summer 2027.
• Majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Willing to work full-time (40 hours/week) for at least 10 weeks in Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and debug software for embedded systems.
• Participate in agile software development and DevOps practices.
• Collaborate with design and systems engineers to plan and implement software solutions.
• Ensure software standards are met and documentation is accurate.
• Contribute to ongoing software integration and testing activities.
