Job summary

Collins Aerospace in the United States is seeking a Software Engineer II for an onsite role. You will join a dynamic software team, translating system requirements into detailed software designs and delivering compliant, tested code for a large program.

You will collaborate with engineers to meet customer needs, maintain software architecture, and provide direct SBCDS support to resolve issues quickly while ensuring rigorous certifications and standards are met.

Qualifications

• Embedded development experience with object-oriented design is required.
• Active SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship required prior to start.
• STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree is typically required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on System Requirements and Software Development: define system requirements and translate into software requirements, UML/SysML models, and diagrams.
• Effective Communication and Team Collaboration: work with software engineers to ensure clear communication across disciplines.
• Provide Technical Support to SBCDS Team: answer technical questions and resolve issues to keep development on track.
• Develop Code to Meet Customer and Certification Standards: maintain, enhance, and develop software meeting customer requirements and certification standards.
• Software Implementation in Test Environments: produce high-quality software implementations and integrate them into testing environments.
