Job summary

Latitude AI is building an embedded software platform for automotive ADAS, delivering real-time Linux on ARM hardware and a diagnostic stack for UDS. The team operates in a fast, startup-like environment and collaborates across ML, robotics, cloud, and safety engineering to advance the future of vehicle autonomy.

You’ll contribute to embedded C++, MISRA-C++, Linux userspace development, automated testing, and robust end-to-end validation, while mentoring peers as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience writing clean, maintainable software with tested code.
• Proficiency in embedded C++ on ARM platforms and MISRA-C++ standards.
• Experience with Linux user-space development and Python scripting for diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of an on-vehicle UDS diagnostic stack running in Linux userspace on ARM-based platforms.
• Develop and maintain embedded C++ software for Linux userspace on ARM-based compute platforms.
• Design and implement unit, integration, and bench-level tests to validate subsystems end‑to‑end.
• Own modules or subsystems with well-tested, maintainable code.
• Debug complex system-level issues involving IPC, networks, and peripherals, escalating to senior staff as needed.
• Participate in code reviews ensuring correctness and robust edge-case handling.
• Collaborate with other teams to translate requirements into well-architected software designs.
• Manage competing priorities and communicate blockers or risks to seniors.
• Produce documentation for diagnostic workflows and test procedures; mentor juniors.
