Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and support software powering autonomous mobile robots in warehouse environments. You will work with robotics, controls, electrical, and platform teams to deliver production-ready systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in embedded software, strong C/C++, and experience with embedded Linux and RTOS. You will help ensure reliability, performance, and proper hardware integration across complex robotic platforms.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
3+ years of embedded software development experience.
Strong proficiency in C and C++.
Experience with embedded Linux.
Experience debugging hardware/software interactions.
Familiarity with Git.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support embedded software for AMRs.
Collaborate with Robotics, Controls, Electrical, Mechanical, and Platform teams.
Develop software for sensors, actuators, and communications.
Troubleshoot issues observed in field deployments and testing.
Participate in verification, validation, and HIL activities.
