Job summary

General Motors in Michigan is seeking a software engineer to design and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for EVs, using MATLAB/Simulink models or hand-coded C. You will create and modify unit and multicomponent tests and work with multi-disciplinary teams to translate requirements into robust software.

Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally is required. The role is a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, reporting to a local GM

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree as specified.
• 4 years of software engineering experience or 2 years with a Master’s.
• Experience with C-language, Simulink, Stateflow, GIT, plant modeling, Python, embedded software, and ECU software builds.
• Experience with SIL and HIL testing and Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement thermal management control and diagnostic algorithms for GM EVs.
• Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to translate requirements into software.
• Develop or modify tests and verify software via unit and multicomponent tests.
