Job summary

John Deere is seeking a Software Engineer in Ankeny, Iowa to join the Crop Care Software for Ag Engineering team. You will be part of an embedded development scrum team, designing, developing and testing software for a broad range of Deere equipment functionality located in Ankeny.

The role requires C/C++ proficiency, RTOS understanding, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 25% is expected; Agile experience and CAN protocol knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Embedded software development experience with design, development and testing.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C# or similar scripting languages.
• Understanding of real-time operating system concepts.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a self-directed mode.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
