Job summary

AGCO in Jackson, MN is seeking a Software Engineer for Machine Control - Chassis Dynamics to develop embedded control and regulation software for drive-by-wire systems.

You will design software modules, debug with CAN tools, collaborate across electrical, mechanical and software teams, and document interfaces in Polarion, while supporting AGCO's autonomy strategy.

Qualifications

• Completed engineering studies in electrical engineering, computer science, mechatronics or comparable.
• Experience in embedded software and system development with model-based approaches (MATLAB/Simulink) and the C language.
• Consolidated knowledge of CAN communication and vehicle bus systems.
• Experience with version control systems such as GIT and SVN.
• Familiarity with real-time operating systems, AUTOSAR, Ethernet and functional safety standards (ISO 25119).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software modules for chassis dynamics and drive-by-wire systems.
• Debug and interpret vehicle data using CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL, PCAN or similar tools.
• Develop machine control systems and control loops; document in a system-supported workflow (Polarion).
• Create test scenarios with test engineers and automate end-to-end workflows.
• Integrate software from internal and external suppliers and define interfaces with electrical/mechanical teams.
• Collaborate across international teams and support agile development practices.
