Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer to join the Access Edge Terminal Software team. You will design and deliver software for embedded satellite terminal products (Ka-band, L-band, 5G) used in aviation, maritime, and residential sectors, collaborating with multiple software teams to meet delivery milestones.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on development, strong C/C++, Linux/Unix, and OO skills, along with a clear ownership mindset and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years hands-on software development experience.
• Bachelor's in computer science, computer engineering, or software engineering.
• Strong C/C++, Linux and embedded systems experience.
• Experience with Linux/UNIX and OO development.
• Strong communication and ownership in a team.

Responsibilities

• Software engineering as part of an agile team.
• Design, develop and drive software products.
