Job summary

Rosenbauer America is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for fire truck electrical systems and collaborate with global teams to deliver high-quality products. The role involves design, testing, and validation of software and system improvements, plus troubleshooting and support for internal teams and suppliers.

The candidate will work on embedded software for vehicle control systems, with exposure to low voltage electronics and automotive protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science.
1–3 years of experience with embedded systems.
Experience with low voltage electrical systems.
Experience writing software for automotive control systems is preferred.
Experience with vehicle electric DC & AC generation and multiplex wiring.
Knowledge of embedded C, C++, or Python.
Experience with revision control systems.
Experience with requirements-based software engineering.
Knowledge of firefighting processes and equipment.
Strong reading of technical journals and excellent written and verbal communication.
