Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer 3 in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on real-time embedded software development, requirements and architecture work, detailed design, coding, and integration/testing within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

The position requires a BS in CS/EE or related field, embedded RTOS experience (VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto or similar), and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

Role Overview

As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in performing software development for a key program. This position supports requirements development, architecture development, detailed design, code and unit test, and integration and test of real-time computer embedded software. You will work in a collaborative multi-discipline team environment and ensure that all software standards are met.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems, or a related field is required.

Experience: Candidates must have experience in embedded real-time software development, debug, and test, as well as experience with the full software development lifecycle. Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are also necessary.

Must be willing and able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance within a reasonable timeframe as determined by the program

Technical Skills

• Object-Oriented (OO) software development experience in C/C++ on a Linux environment.
• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or other equivalent RTOS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements

This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen. Secret Clearance highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Active DOD Secret Clearance
• Experience with PowerPC, ARM, and/or RISC-V architectures.
• Experience in design, integration, and testing with real-time computer-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop test laboratories.
• Experience in developing interfaces to support weapon system integration efforts.
