Job summary

General Motors seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop and implement thermal management controls and diagnostics for its next generation of EV vehicles. You will translate system requirements into robust control software and integrate in MATLAB/Simulink or C.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, develop unit and multicomponent tests, and contribute to SIL/HIL validation. The role supports a hybrid work policy with on-site reporting and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study.
  • Four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Associate Software Engineer, Embedded Software Engineering Intern, Software Test Engineer or related occupation.
  • Two (2) years of experience in software coding including C-language, Simulink, Stateflow, GIT environment, plant modeling, and Python; Embedded software and controls development experience; Developing hand code in C language; Compile ECU level software build; Development and testing experience on SIL and HIL; Jira and Agile Framework.

Responsibilities
