Bosch Mobility Aftermarket is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop software for diagnostic devices and related systems. You will work on software that runs on embedded hardware, collaborating across teams to deliver robust solutions.

The role emphasizes C++, C#, Java, and Android/Linux stack, with opportunities for board bring-up and driver work, in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in CS/EE or similar required.
• 3+ years’ experience developing software in production.
• 3+ years' experience with C++, C#, and/or Java.
• Full stack development on Android and/or Linux.
• Ability to learn from teammates and adopt best industry practices.

Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will create software that runs on or works with the electronic devices for the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions diagnostics group. Join the team as we change the way we create and develop new products.

• To help define the software architecture and design for exciting new products.
• To participate in design reviews, code reviews and adhere to software development best practices
• To provide system-wide problem-solving, solutions, and production support.
• To support hardware board, bring-up, troubleshooting, device driver development and automated software builds.
• To seek out and participate in personal development opportunities.
• To grow and share your knowledge base of the latest technologies, industry standardization, and engineering best practices.
• To collaborate with multiple departments in a dynamic manufacturing facility.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field required.
• 3+ years’ experience developing software and delivering to a production environment.
• 3+ years' experience using C++, C#, and/or Java. Proven capability in technical communications, often called upon to express complex technical concepts verbally and in writing.
• Full stack development on Android and/or Linux
• Ability to learn from other team members and adopt to best in class industry standards

DESIRED

• Application development for embedded Linux.
• Android and/or Linux Board Support Package experience.
• Android and/or Linux device driver experience.

Experience with communication protocols such as CAN bus, TCP/IP, UDP, UART, SPI, I2C, etc

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $82,000- 120,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. In addition to your base salary, Bosch offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision plans; health savings accounts (HSA); flexible spending accounts; 401(K) retirement & Bosch Defined Contribution plan with an attractive employer match; wellness programs; life insurance; short and long term disability insurance; paid time off; parental leave, adoption assistance; and reimbursement of education expenses.
