Working closely with software, firmware, controls, hardware, and systems engineering teams, you will contribute to products that improve building performance, connectivity, and user experience.Learn more about our engineering organization: Johnson Controls Advanced Development and Engineering Center (JADEC) ## How You Will Do It* Develop high-quality, secure embedded software solutions for building equipment and controls.* Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration across hardware, firmware, controls, and software platforms.* Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, and validation.* Support software architecture, troubleshooting, debugging, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Contribute to the development of innovative features and connected product capabilities.* Promote engineering best practices and a collaborative team culture. **Location:** New Freedom, PA (Onsite). Relocation provided. ## What You Will Need ## Required Qualifications* **Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future sponsorship.*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.* 2+ years of embedded software development experience. Recent graduates with relevant internship or co-op experience are encouraged to apply.* Experience developing software in C and/or C++.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Familiarity with software development tools such as Git and Jira. ## Preferred Qualifications* Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, and/or Simulink.* Experience with HVAC, air handlers, chillers, heat pumps, or other electromechanical control systems.* Exposure to embedded Linux, RTOS, or connected device development. SALARY: $71,000 - $94,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role.
