Project Kuiper aims to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, helping to close the digital divide for various customers including consumers, businesses, and government agencies.
Role Overview: This Software Engineer will design, implement, and operate globally available distributed systems to enable Kuiper's operation within virtual environments at scale, utilizing the latest AWS technologies and industry best practices.
Export Control Requirement: Candidates must be U.S. citizens, nationals, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), refugees, or asylees, due to export control laws.
Additional Notes: This role involves building cloud services and APIs to simulate software on Kuiper's satellite and ground devices, focusing on low-latency, scalable architectures for high-quality internet delivery.

Salary ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 annually, depending on location and experience. Additional compensation may include equity and benefits. This position remains open until filled.
