Caterpillar is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer Specialist to lead architecture for embedded software across products and platforms in Mossville, IL. You will translate requirements into scalable architectures, define standards, and guide teams through critical design decisions to ensure reliable and secure software.

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++ experience, RTOS knowledge, and a track record in architecture modeling, requirements traceability, and formal reviews.

Formación

• Experience defining architecture for embedded or distributed software systems across multiple products.
• Strong C/C++ experience with RTOS, hardware/software interfaces, and constrained systems.
• Familiarity with architecture modeling, requirements traceability, and design reviews.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the definition and evolution of embedded software architectures across products and platforms.
• Translate requirements into architecture, interfaces, and design specifications.
• Define principles, patterns, and standards to improve modularity, reuse, and testability.
• Evaluate tradeoffs on performance, reliability, and risk; drive architectural decisions to closure.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, maintainable software.
