Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver low-level embedded software for next generation ECUs in NPI programs. You will gather requirements, prepare design proposals, write and test code, and optimize performance on embedded hardware.

Preferred candidates have BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering and experience with RTOS, C/C++, and AUTOSAR. Travel up to 10% and onsite work in Mossville, IL.

Qualifications

• Low-level embedded software development experience with RTOS, drivers, boot loaders.
• Real-time embedded C/C++ programming experience.
• AUTOSAR familiarity and modular architecture knowledge.
• Python and shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver embedded software for Next Gen ECUs used in Caterpillar NPIs.
• Gather requirements, prepare and review design proposals, write and test code.
• Debug and optimize embedded systems using tools and methodologies.
