Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Yorba Linda, CA or Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer in Application Infrastructure & Embedded Systems to join our Range and Test Solutions team.

The role requires solid SDLC, real-time embedded development, and client/server database application experience; a US Secret clearance is required.

You will travel up to 20%, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active US Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of software development experience, or a Graduate degree with 2+ years.
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software for the flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems.
• Perform software development activities across the full SDLC, from requirements through testing and deployment.
• Perform trade studies, root cause analysis, and other software investigations.
• Travel up to 20% and work extended hours as needed.
