Firestorm is seeking an Embedded & Automation Engineer to develop software for intelligent manufacturing cells. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, alongside over 5 years of embedded, real-time, or robotics software experience. Responsibilities include designing automation software, building test infrastructure, and integrating robotics with the manufacturing processes. This remote role offers competitive compensation ranging from $140,000 to $230,000 USD, and includes a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and more.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded, real-time, or robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C, C++ and Python; comfortable at the software/hardware boundary.
• Hands-on experience with industrial cobots or robotic systems and motion control.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded and real-time software for manufacturing cell automation.
• Build and operate SIL, HIL, and VIL infrastructure for automated validation.
• Develop firmware-adjacent tooling for bring-up and flashing of production hardware.
